Home-Start offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children in local communities.
Home-Start recruit and train volunteers who are usually parents themselves to visit families with at least one child under five, at home, and offer them informal, friendly and confidential support.

Citizens' Advice Bureau offers free, independent, confidential and impartial advice.
We have a new system which is designed to avoid early queuing and long waits. The best
time to arrive is 9.45am, when the running order for the morning is settled. Clients being seen
later on are able to leave and come back at a pre-arranged time.
Local Councillor Rita Palmer will be available at CCC on the 2nd Thursday of the month between 1pm - 3pm for advice sessions.

Relate: The Counselling People
Relate family counselling is now available at the North Barnes Children’s Centre at Lowther School.
Family counselling aims to assist family members resolve difficulties and concerns in their relationships with one another.
Appointments are available on Monday mornings and all family counselling will begin with a carefully planned assessment which will identify whether Relate is the most appropriate agency to help you and your family.
