Everyone is welcome at playgroup. We will not tolerate any racist or sexist language or behaviour.
We discourage children from bringing toys from home as they may get lost or broken.
Your child will be provided with a drink and snack during the session. Therefore, we ask that children do not bring in their own sweets, drinks etc .. as it is unfair on the other children.
Parent/Carers are responsible for their own children at all times. Staff are responsible for children that are left unattended.
Tea/Coffee
Tea/Coffee is provided for parent/carers from 9.30am. Please help yourselves to tea/coffee during the session. Parent/Carers are expected to wash-up their own cups.
CHILDREN ARE NOT TO GO BEHIND THE COUNTER, EVEN WITH AN ADULT PRESENT - FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS.
Behaviour
If your child misbehaves parent/carers are expected to act responsibly.
We have a 'Time-Out Chair' which we encourage parents to use if needed. Sometimes it may be necessary for staff to discipline your child, by using the time-out chair.
Activity Time
We encourage all parent/carers to sit at the table with their child and join in at activity time.
Snack Time
A drink and snack will be provided for your child during the session. Children are asked to stay seated at the table until they have finished and not to walk around with their snack or drink.
Tidy-Up Time
Both children and parent/carers are asked to help tidy up at the end of the session.
Song/Story Time
Parent/Carers are asked to join in at song/story time. If your child does not wish to join in please discourage him/her from running around or playing with any of the toys, as not to disturb the others.
Most of all we hope you and your children enjoy the session and we welcome any ideas and suggestions about how you would like your drop-in to run.
