Castelnau Youth Club

Offers a varied programme of activities during term time at CCC for all young people aged 11 - 21 years old. It's a place where young people can come to meet friends, make new friends and learn or try new activities.

During the holidays CYC offers a number of different trips, activities and residentials.

New Club Timetable...

MONDAY 7pm - 9pm ~ Junior Club (ages 10-13)

Young people can drop into the youth club and will be welcomed by the youth workers there. Youth workers will encourage you to join in the club's programme. You could learn a new skill or relax and listen to music, play pool, table football and much, much more - there may also be activities specifically for girls and young women.

Activities:

Healthy Eating/Cooking, Art Project, Football/gym session, DJ Workshops.

Dance Club:

6.15 - 7.00pm High School Musical

7.15 - 8.00pm Street Dance

TUESDAY 7pm - 9pm ~ Project Night (ages 11+)

Project night is a night dedicated to activities; you may only come to the club if you are participating in one of the activities on offer.

Projects: Football Project, DJ Workshops, International Cookery, Art Project, Short Film Project.

WEDNESDAY 7pm - 9pm ~ Senior Club (ages 13+)

FRIDAY 7pm - 9pm ~ Open Club (ages 11+)

All are welcome to attend Open Night Club, young people can relax and listen to music, play pool, table football and much, much more. There will be monthly Disco's arranged by Young People, and Celebration Parties, such as Black History Month and Halloween, there will also be occasional outward bound trips.

ARTZ WORK

Young people from the Youth Club worked with a graffiti artist to re-vamp the back fencing with new art work for the new times (As shown at the top of this page).

The original work, done in 2006, had seen better days and the young people designed and carried out all of the art work on the new piece – ‘Its A Barnes Ting!’.

It was great that George Kimpton, who had been one of the main artists on the original piece when he was a member of the club, helped with this new piece in his current capacity as a volunteer. It freshens up the whole place, feel free to check it out.
