Become a Friend of

Castelnau Community Centre

Make a difference

By becoming a friend of the Castelnau Community Centre you are helping keep this community strong for local families and our older neighbours

You can help children play learn and grow

Your support funds safe, joyful spaces where children can explore, learn new skills, and make friends. £3 pays for a child to attend an after-school club. £50 pays for one Homework Club.

You support families facing challenges

Your kindness ensures families struggling with the cost of living can access practical help and advice. £100 pays for a youth support worker for ten hours.

You brighten the lives of our older neighbours

Your contribution keeps social clubs, gentle fitness sessions, and creative groups running, helping older residents stay active and connected. £5, buys a lunch for a senior community member. £10 pays for a senior member of the community to go on a day trip.

You keep our Centre open as a safe, welcoming place for all

Whether it’s a parent with a toddler, a young person looking for guidance, or someone in crisis who needs advice, Castelnau Community Centre is here for everyone. Your support makes sure the doors stay open and the welcome is warm.

What people say

“ When I first came to the Centre I was shy and didn’t really know what I could do. The team is very professional but also friendly and helped me build my confidence and self-esteem. I’ve learnt so much including how to interact with people again. I feel ready for the next part of my life.’ .”

— Clare Glen, Single Parent, one child

"We met the majority of our friends through the Community Centre, it was the best thing we ever did."

— Derek Mileham, Café volunteer

"My children have depended on the activities here but so have I. It has been wonderful to meet people and share experiences as I have no family close and few friends. The Centre has helped me with my parenting skills and helped us avoid being excluded. I want to feel more independent and I hope the courses will help me do that.

— Ayeda Al-Hamiri, Parent with English as an additional language, three children
