DESCRIPTION:A conversation group for speakers of other languages. A great way to improve your English by getting together for topical discussions\, chatting and reading aloud together. We are a social group\, often cooking and eating together after the classes\, talking about our families and finding out about each other’s home countries. \nThese Tuesday sessions are less formal and more conversational. If you are looking for more structured and classroom-based lessons you should consider The Welcome Project Structured Learning on Thursdays. \nLed by volunteers who speak English as their first language. DESCRIPTION:Richmond Foodbank together with Trussell don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks\, supported by The Trussell Trust\, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. \nDuring term time the foodbank operates out of our cafe every Friday morning from 09:15-11:15. Drop in for a cuppa and a bacon sandwich\, cheese toastie or one of our gorgeous cakes! It is a child friendly space for the whole family. \nWe are always looking for volunteers to help in our café. No previous experience needed as we offer training. The only skill you need is to be happy to muck in! It’s a great way to boost your confidence and meet new people. DESCRIPTION:A conversation group for speakers of other languages. A great way to improve your English by getting together for topical discussions\, chatting and reading aloud together. We are a social group\, often cooking and eating together after the classes\, talking about our families and finding out about each other’s home countries. \nThese Tuesday sessions are less formal and more conversational. If you are looking for more structured and classroom-based lessons you should consider The Welcome Project Structured Learning on Thursdays. \nLed by volunteers who speak English as their first language.
